Vintage solid copper tea kettle / teapot featuring a beautiful low, wide body, long pouring spout, removable copper lid with wooden knob, and an arched copper handle with turned wooden grip.
Approximately 8 inches across the body and about 7 inches tall to the top of the raised handle, based on the measurements shown in the photos.
This piece has wonderful aged character with natural copper patina, dark spotting, oxidation/verdigris, surface scratches and discoloration consistent with age and previous use. The underside shows heavier tarnish and wear. The end of the spout also shows oxidation. Wooden handle and lid knob show age-related wear.
The inside of the lid appears to be a different/silver-colored metal or lining. I have not identified the maker or exact age.
Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition with substantial age-related patina and wear. Please review all photos closely, as they are an important part of the description. Sold as a vintage collectible/decorative piece; I have not tested it for food-safe use.
