Vintage Spode Blue Room Spice Jar Set (6pc) - Made in England - \"Ginnamon\" Quirk For Sale

Title: Vintage Spode Blue Room Collection Porcelain Spice Jars – Set of 6 (Made in England)

Description:

Up for sale is a beautiful, complete 6-piece set of porcelain spice jars from the highly collectible Spode Blue Room Collection.

Unlike standard modern reproductions, this vintage set features the highly sought-after \"Made in England\" backstamp on the base of the jars, dating them back to Spode\'s premium UK-manufactured era.

Each jar features a unique, intricately detailed historical transferware scene from the Spode archives rather than a single repeating pattern.

The Famous \"Ginnamon\" Quirk:

A favorite detail for collectors, the Cinnamon jar in this archival series features the famous historical lettering quirk where the stylized capital \"C\" reads exactly like a \"G\" (\"GINNAMON\"). This was intentionally replicated by Spode from their original 19th-century hand-engraved copper plates to preserve the antique authenticity of the design!

Included Jars & Patterns:

• Basil (Countryside Landscape)

• Cinnamon (Printed as \"Ginnamon\" - Estate Manor)

• Mint (Coastal Castle)

• Parsley (Zoological / Kangaroo & Wolf)

• Rosemary (Botanical Berries & Florals)

• Thyme (Floral Bouquet)

Condition Notes (Please Read):

• Overall Set: This entire set is in very good vintage condition. The blue and white transferware glaze is incredibly bright, glossy, and crisp with absolutely no crazing, fading, or cracks across any of the pieces.

• **The Thyme Lid**: The only exception to the excellent condition is a small chip on the top cap/finial of the Thyme jar lid. It is a minor cosmetic flaw that does not affect the jar\'s functionality and is common for vintage porcelain of this age.

Please see the close-up on the last photo for more detail. All other 5 lids are immaculate.

This beautiful set makes a wonderful, high-quality addition to any kitchen style, a Spode collector\'s display, or a unique conversation piece!
