Vintage T Cohn Halloween Tin Litho Noisemakers Witch Crank Rattle Lot Of 2 For Sale

Wonderful coordinated lot of two early vintage American Halloween tin-lithographed noisemakers manufactured by T. Cohn Inc.The lot includes:• Round hand-cranked ratchet noisemaker featuring an extraordinary Art Deco witch or hag face with pointed green ears, hoop earrings, fangs, broom and bat imagery. Marked Made in USA with the T. Cohn emblem. Generally dated to the 1930s.• Cylindrical wooden-handled rattle or shaker decorated on all sides with classic Halloween imagery, including a smiling jack-o’-lantern, owl, crescent moon, flying witch, bats and a green city skyline. Bears the circular T. Cohn Inc. maker’s mark. Likely dating from the 1930s–1940s.Both pieces retain their striking original palette of pumpkin orange, pale green, cream and black. They display beautifully together and would make an especially strong addition to a collection of antique Halloween decorations, American tin toys or holiday noisemakers.Both are in good unrestored vintage condition with scattered scratches, scuffs, small paint losses, edge wear, light oxidation and minor dents or surface irregularities consistent with their age. The original wooden handle and red crank knob remain present.
