My mom bought this on a trip to Naples, Italy in 1997. It had never been displayed or used, though it has aged some being in a box for so many years - and in a few different closets! I was trying to verify the origin of this Angel and contacted several shops in Naples, Italy where my mom thought she bought it. She has no receipt or card/information on it at this time. She said locals called it "Angel Street" because several shops there sold angels like this one. The store was mentioned in a local newspaper in Youngstown, OH called "The Vindicator," and referred to a shop run by two brothers in Naples. On a trip there not long after, my mom went there and bought this angel. The newspaper has since gone out of business so I cannot check their records for the story (which mom thinks appeared in 1997 or possibly late 1996). I was unable to verify which shop it may have come from (none of the shops replied!) but I can help you figure it out (maybe better) if you are interested.

Nonetheless, this angel is about 16 x 16 inches (length/width) and, laying flat, about 4 inches high. The wings are attached via material so they are delicate and appear to be made of Teracotta and the dress/material is silk. It is a rougher texture than I thought but has held up well over the decades.
