The rich dark brown leather has a wonderful aged appearance while remaining in excellent vintage condition. The box is especially interesting because the interior is also lined in leather, rather than fabric or paper.
The tooling continues around the exterior, giving the piece a substantial handmade, artisan-crafted appearance. The rounded/domed lid adds to its distinctive look.
