Original 1916 embossed Valentine postcard featuring an adorable young boy in a sailor suit bashfully admiring a little girl in a large pink bonnet.
The Valentine greeting reads:
“Greetings for St. Valentine’s Day — If I took a kiss, d’you suppose she’d care? I would in a minute but I don’t dare.”
Beautifully embossed illustration with soft pastel coloring and wonderful early-20th-century children’s imagery. Marked “Made in U.S.A.” on the reverse.
Postally used and addressed to Mr. Marvin Truitt, Fulton, Missouri, R.R. #5. Clearly postmarked Fulton, Mo., February 13, 1916, 8:30 A.M. and retains its original green 1-cent Washington postage stamp.
