Before smartphones became identical black rectangles, there was this wonderfully colorful piece of late-1980s technology.
This vintage Unisonic PhoneWorks model 6900 telephone features a clear handset and case, turquoise base, brightly colored internal components and a striped multicolor coiled cord. The transparent design lets you see all the circuitry, wires and delightfully chunky telephone parts inside.
Although it is no longer taking calls, it still has plenty of personality. It would make a fantastic display piece for a retro office or bedroom, a television or theater prop, or a fun restoration project.
