Vintage WW2 950 Silver Pinup Girl Hand Engraved Cigarette Case 1940’s Art Deco For Sale

I’m selling my grandfathers hand engraved pinup cigarette case from WW2. I’ve used this case myself for a number of years and have enjoyed it thoroughly. This case was given to me after he passed along with other items from his time served in WW2. I’m not sure where he acquired it but from the research I’ve done, it was common for service men to buy these from local artisans while serving overseas. I have looked at the engravings with a magnifying glass and they are hand engraved. This cigarette case is made of 950 Silver. It measures 5” tall, 3” wide and about 3/8” thick and weights 140 grams. The hinge is strong, the locking/opening mechanism works great. Still has original brass band inside. Band is still tight. The case has some wear just like any other cigarette case that is pushed 80+ yrs old. The case also does have 3 small dents that were there when I got it. I have always taken good care of this case. It has been cleaned and polished because I prefer it nice and shiny. But it will develop a nice golden patina if left untouched. See pictures for condition. This case is a great representation of an art form that has somewhat been lost over the years. The pinup is done beautifully on this case. I’m not in a hurry to sell it, but I’ve enjoyed it for many years and I think it’s time I let someone else enjoy it as well. Thanks for looking! No returns.
