Offered here is a vintage Waterman 54 made in chased black hard rubber circa the 1920's. The 54 is a larger pen than the more common 52, and measures approximately 137.4 mm long capped, 173.3 mm posted, and the barrel is 11.9 mm in diameter. The pen's trim is nickel plated.
The pen is in good, vintage condition. There is normal wear to the hard rubber surface, but no cracks or chips. There are small marks around the end of the barrel which are likely teeth marks.
The large #4 Waterman 14K nib writes smoothly with some flex on downstrokes (see writing sample). A new ink sac was recently installed.
