Vintage matched Japanese decorative set by Yamahiro Toen, consisting of one tall vase and one lidded ginger jar.Both pieces feature a cream crackle glaze with detailed mounted samurai warrior scenes in orange, black, gray and gold, accompanied by Japanese calligraphy and red artist seals.Both pieces carry the same red Yamahiro Toen studio mark on the underside.The painted decoration is signed Gyokko and is consistent with documented work attributed to Japanese ceramic decorator Hayashi Gyokko.Beautiful as a coordinated display set for collectors of Japanese ceramics, samurai imagery, Asian decor or vintage crackle-glaze pottery.
