From a Tucson, Arizona collector's estate:
Vintage Zuni Hereford Steer Bolo Tie Attributed to Lincoln & Helen Zunie
The piece is unsigned as was much of their early work, however the design of the steer or cow head isclosely comparable to documented Helen & Lincoln Zunie Hereford steer pieces. The silver tips are hand-fabricated as is the handmade c-clasp.Bennett clasps began appearing in the mid-1950s and are useful as a general dating reference for vintage bolos. The handmade construction of this example is consistent with an earlier period.
The suspended turquoise accents hanging from the silver tips add a special extra touch to the piece.Measurements: Overall cord length 38 inches. Steer head 1¾ inch wide.
