Original vintage hotel room key and return tag from the Eccleston Hotel, London S.W.1, room 34.
The shaped metal tag reads:
“Eccleston Hotel London S.W.1”
with a box marked “Affix Postage Stamp Here.”
The reverse reads:
“Please Leave Key at Office / If Taken Away Return Per Post Unsealed.”
Includes the original long metal room key attached by ring.
Based on the style of the key, tag, typography and hotel history, this appears to date to approximately the 1930s–1950s.
