Up for sale/sale is an incredibly rare, museum-quality piece of American Tobacciana history. This is a complete, intact retail store counter display featuring one dozen (12) genuine, unsmoked Missouri Meerschaum "The Standard" corn cob pipes. Pipes from this era feature the iconic amber-colored morph bits/stems with black bands. Every single pipe is perfectly secured to the heavy-stock cardboard display card by its original factory metal wire brackets. The bottom of the display flap is cleanly stamped with the factory text: "MISSOURI 1 DOZ. #490 / MEERSCHAUM STANDARD". The display features the wonderful vintage 70s marketing slogan: "The World's Best Natured Pipes"* alongside a classic illustrated couple and the historic Missouri Meerschaum Co. circular logo (Washington, MO, U.S.A.).
