Up for listing is this very, very unique and interesting Vintage (1985) art piece, that shows a three-dimensional nautical shadowbox artwork, that features a fully rigged Clipper ship named \" The STAGHOUND\",  sailing through choppy ocean waves.

*****KEY PRODUCT FEATURES/DETAILS:

***Design Characteristics:  Rather than a flat, traditional painting, this beautiful unique, art piece, uses a dimensional layering technique to create a physical depth effect within the deep wooden frame.

*** Artwork / Art Style:  This art piece  is built using \'Paper Tole\' (also known as 3D paper relief or three-dimensional decoupage).

Multiple identical prints are cut out, shaped, and layered sequentially, over each other, using silicone or foam adhesives to build up individual structural elements like the hull, billowing sails, and rigging.

***Visual Elements:  The color palette relies heavily, ( & beautifully I might add)  on muted grays, blues, and whites to simulate a cloudy, wind-swept maritime environment.

This color palette is what immediately caught my eye as we were on our trip up to Canada, walking through the antique stores.

***Display Style:  The artwork is housed inside a custom dimensional frame ( shadow box) and also has a lovely colored gray/blue toned matting system designed to give the textured components physical breathing room without crushing them against the glass protective pane.

Finally, the entire art piece is in encased and presented in a beautiful solid wood, mildly distressed , thick Art frame, and then housed in glass.

***Condition: this beautiful art piece is in excellent used vintage condition. As you can see from my photographs the framing the glass the matting and the 3D artwork itself is all in excellent condition. The Artisan is taking the time to sign the peace Darlene and dated it 1985. Which is also shown in my above photographs.

This art piece measures approximately 19 in wide, by 14 in Long by 2.25 in high/ depth
