Businessman and entrepreneur, A.G. Gaston, launched 1940’s Black-owned Birmingham, AL business. The Brown Belle Boogie company bottled soft drinks for the black community with flavors Brown Belle Boogie, ginger ale, grape, lemon, strawberry, peach and orange.
The business lasted less than 10 years though his greatest successes were yet to come.
