Bring a little old-fashioned farmhouse charm to your kitchen with this one-of-a-kind decorative rolling pin, hand-finished in a cheerful sunflower and wildflower design.
The rolling pin measures approximately 18 inches long and features a soft distressed white background filled with warm sunflowers, greenery and touches of beautiful deep purple.
The handles were given a special layered crackle finish — I started with deep purple underneath and added a muted vintage green over the top, allowing little glimpses of purple to peek through the crackling and distressed areas. I love how it pulls the purple from the floral design all the way through the piece.
Both ends are finished with rustic, intentionally imperfect bundles of green plaid fabric, primitive gauze, raffia, greenery and small purple floral accents for that collected country-farmhouse look.
And if you prefer it simpler: the decorative bow/greenery bundles are removable, so the rolling pin can also be displayed without them for a more understated look.
This is a handmade decorative piece, so you'll find the little variations, distressing and imperfections that give handcrafted decor its character. It is not intended to look factory-made or perfectly uniform — that's part of its charm.
