Vtg NAPCO WINKING SANTA Trinket Dish KX2699. Lot of 2 CHRISTMAS RETRO MCM EUC For Sale

Add a touch of retro holiday cheer to your home or collection with this adorable, matching pair of vintage 1950s/1960s ceramic winking Santa Claus miniature dishes by Napco Japan. Mold number KX2699 is stamped clearly on the bottom, and both still retain the original silver Napco foil sticker!
While originally manufactured as single-notch ashtrays, these charming mid-century pieces are perfect for modern use as kitchen spoon rests, tea bag holders, vanity ring dishes, or kitschy holiday display accents. Both pieces are in great vintage shape with bright cold-painted details and a glossy glaze. There are no chips, cracks, or structural repairs. As shown in the close-up photos, there are a few tiny, minor black factory glaze pops/divots in the white ceramic beard area, which is highly common for mid-century Japanese imports and occurred during the manufacturing process. Minor paint loss. A wonderful, highly collectible ready-to-display addition to any MCM Christmas collection!
