This is a beautiful Nativity set from Sebastian and is part of the Miniatures series. It is hand cast and hand painted. Whoever painted this used vivid colors, it is a nice set. The manger has the Holy Family, an oxen, donkey and some lambs looking on. I like the thatch like roof and the different colors of the base. It measures about 3 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches wide. Inscribed on the back is 1961 P.W. Baston.
The other piece has an older and younger shepherd looking on with their flock of lambs. It measures about 2 1/2 inches tall and wide. On the base on the backside it is also inscribed 1961 P.W. Baston.
There is a tiny chip in the corner of the manger roof, I only noticed it when I turned the manger over. For such an older set and being ceramic, it has survived very well. It is sold used as is.
