Vtg US Military Astro Compass Mark II in Box w/ Instructions World War II Era For Sale

Item Description

Here is a nice looking vintage navigation tool for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift for a special occasion or keep for yourself!''

Nice US Military Astro Compass Mark II for you here. Comes with a wood case. Do not see a serial number on the piece, there is an order number. Made by Sperti, Inc. of Cincinnati, OH USA. An Astro Compass is an aircraft navigation tool and was used to find true north.

This US Military Collectible is being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a high end sale house or gallery, as we have been selling artwork out of our home for over 35 years. We can therefore better control our acquisition costs, keep commission costs low (if applicable), and finally, we don't have the overhead that the higher end houses and art galleries experience.

There is a piece of black tape on the body of the instrument that we left in place.

The instrument has a metal label on it as does the wood case. The wood case is painted a greenish color. There is a green canvas carrying belt still attached to the wood case.

What you see is what you get. Not sure if the instrument, lenses, or any accessories are all here or not. Certainly not saying if operational or not. Being sold as a great vintage piece that might require refurbishing to be usable again.

The Astro Compass Mark IIis 5" across, by 9-7/8" tall, by 4" wide. The wood case is 10" across, by 6-3/16" tall, by 5-5/8" wide.
