WWII U.S. Army Ike Jacket Pants Shirt 84th Infantry Division Rail Splitters 1944 For Sale

Nice clean grouping WWII US Army Ike Jacket, wool pants and shirt(shirt is era correct but added later for display) Pants and jacket are a pairing that came together. Sizes are noted in pics. Shirt has some stains and defects but the jacket and pants look like they've been in storeage since the 1940s. No mothing, rips or other defects noted except some dust and dust bunnies which I will leave to the new owner to tend to. The contract tag inside the inner breast pocket reveals the manufacture and date of 1944. The left patch is the 84th Infantry Division who landed at Normandy that same year and were also in the Battle of the Bulge, so this set is historically significant. From what I can tell, the serviceman who owned these garments was a Technician and sargeant. The right side patch indicates he worked with the "ADSEC" (Advance Section of the Communications Zone) repairing damaged bridges and RR as well as some mine detection. The left collar pin idnicates he was a signal corp tech. Each of the gold bars represents 6 months each overseas service and the hashmark is one year in combat. The "Ruptured Duck" indicates he was honorably discharged overseas and could continue to wear the uniform up to 30 days after the fact if no civilian clothes could be procured for him post combat duty. A superb example of a historically important Division who landed on D-Day, Fought in Bastogne and traveled to liberate the camps of Germany.
