Offered for sale is a vintage United States Army Medical Department 200th Anniversary commemorative plate, celebrating 1775–1975.
The front features bold raised lettering reading “UNITED STATES ARMY MEDICAL DEPARTMENT” surrounding the Army Medical Department insignia/caduceus. The center is marked “200th Anniversary – 1775 – 1975” and is surrounded by an attractive raised oak-leaf border.
The reverse is especially interesting, featuring an extensive raised historical inscription concerning the establishment of an Army hospital and medical personnel in 1775, giving the piece additional historical and display appeal.
The back is maker-marked:
WILTON – COLUMBIA, PA – U.S.A.

Wilton of Columbia, Pennsylvania produced numerous American commemorative and historical pewter pieces, and comparable Wilton plates are identified in the collectibles market as pewter.
Condition
Pre-owned and in excellent overall vintage condition.
There is some normal age and handling wear, including light surface scratches, scuffs, small marks and natural finish/patina variations, particularly on the reverse. The raised front design remains crisp and highly presentable.
No major cracks, breaks or significant structural damage are apparent in the supplied photos.
