Vintage Woodings-Verona US 91 8 lb splitting maul with the original branded Woodings-Verona Genuine American Hickory handle. This is a very nice example because the original handle is still present, tight, clearly marked, and in great condition. The head is stamped US 91, US, and 8, and the handle still has strong Woodings-Verona branding along with the Genuine American Hickory marking and original warning text.
This is a heavy-duty American-made wood splitting maul with an 8 lb head, wide wedge-style splitting blade, and rounded poll. The original branded handle is the standout feature on this one, since many used mauls have replacement, damaged, or unmarked handles. Manufactured time period is likely late 20th century, approximately 1970s–1990s.
Nice used vintage condition overall. The head shows normal wear from age and use including finish wear, scratches, oxidation, and light edge wear. The original Woodings-Verona handle is tight and in great condition with visible branding, normal scuffs, use marks, and wear near the head.
