This vintage chrome-era postcard depicts the Armoury of the Oxford Garrison in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. The building, constructed in 1904, served as home to the 3rd (London & Oxford Fusiliers) Battalion of the Royal Canadian Regiment and is identified on the back as one of the notable landmarks of Woodstock. The front photograph shows the handsome three-storey red brick structure in Romanesque Revival style, featuring round turrets, arched entryways with fan windows, decorative stonework, and a central dormer gable. Leafless trees frame the facade, suggesting a winter or early spring setting. The card was published by World Wide Sales Agencies Ltd., P.O. Box 98, Snowdon, Montreal 29, Canada, with color photography credited to Len Leiffer (catalog number LV-5433). This places the card firmly in the photochrome or chrome era, likely produced in the 1960s. The back features a standard divided back layout with no message or address written. Condition is Very Good. The image retains good color saturation with only minor fading typical of the period. Corners show minimal handling wear and the card lies flat with no creases or soiling. The reverse is clean and unmarked, making this an attractive example for a collector.
