The photographer’s mount is prominently marked:
Ward – Connellsville, PA
J. W. Ward, identified as John Watson Ward, is documented as working as a photographer in Connellsville from the late 1880s into the early 20th century.
The reverse has a faint period pencil inscription that appears to read “Emma A.” This is presented as a possible identification only; no further identity has been confirmed.
Measures approximately 6.4 x 4.2 inches.

Condition shows expected age and handling wear, including scattered surface marks and abrasions/image loss, particularly on the lower portion of the dress. There is also an old vertical paper/tape residue strip on the reverse. Please inspect all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.
