This is a complete antique deck of Andrew Dougherty "Indicator No. 50" playing cards, circa 1896. This historic 19th-century deck features Dougherty’s famous patented "Indicator" miniature suit symbols and numbered indices in the corners, a critical design evolutionary step in American playing card history.
Completeness: 100% complete with all 52 playing cards plus the highly sought-after original "Jolly Joker" clown card.
Condition: Very Fine antique condition.
- Back Design: Features the rare and beautifully detailed symmetrical Victorian "Cherub and Goat" design printed in crisp royal blue and white. It intricately depicts playful cherubs alongside leaping goats surrounded by ornate floral scrolls.
