Circa late 1800s or early 1900s Cold Painted Austrian Desktop Paper Clip.All original paint. There is some normal wear to the paint. See photos.The metal under the paint is silver in color but otherwise looks like bronze. These clips are usually made of bronze, but we are not sure about this one. The quality is the same and it does not stick to a magnet.The marble base a few small nicks and rough spots, but no significant chips and no cracks.The clip stays in the upward position when raised and then can be closed by pushing it down.The base is 5-3/4\" x 3-3/4\". Measures about 6-1/2\" long total x 1-3/4\" tall.
