The building is one of three magnificent buildings built by the controversial entrepreneur and businessman Shlomo Feingold on the corner of Lilienblum and Nahalat Binyamin streets in the early 1920s, along with 39 Lilienblum and Feingold's own ornate castle-like residence. For extensive information, go to the building page.The building was used by the post office and a modern telephone exchange was installed there. In 1930, after Feingold had sold his assets, the building was sold by court order. That same year, the post office moved to Allenby Street and the building was leased to a Bank.
