End leaves are marbled, boards are stepped down. Pages are clean and tight, no scribbles, stains, or tears. Front and back blank pages have slight foxing - rest of pages are clean. Gift inscription on top of title page and on first blank page. Book measures 7 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches; total of 454 pages, plus index. Wonderful tipped in photogravure illustration facing title page.
