View Larger Image   Stanley No. 5 Jack Plane Sweetheart Type 13   Description: Offering this nice clean Stanley Bailey No 5 Jack Plane Type 13 with smooth bottom, dated 1925-28; blade bears the Stanley Sweetheart logo on the cutter (very light impression or stamp)but can be seen. The plane is in good+ condition with some wear on the original black Japaning, but about 70% still intact; bear metal surfaces good+ condition, no cracks or chips; no rust, some very minor pitting, and a some minor dings, mostly on the outer side walls, very clean. The 2 inch wide blade is clean, ready to work, no cracks or chips; some minor pitting noted, but not near the cutting edge, cutter length is 85% intact and sharp. The handle tote is in very nice shape, no cracks or repairs, some tiny dings and scratches. Rosewood knob is in very good shape, solid and clean, minor dings, no cracks or chips. Marked "U S Patent Apr. 19-10" in front of the handle, and "NO. 5" behind. The cutter is marked with the SWEETHEART logo and "STANLEY MADE IN U.S.A.".
