This is a 1870s Minton Majolica Dainty Flowers Turquoise & Blue Colors Tureen w Underplate. It has the English Registry mark but it cannot be made out, however, I have 6 companion soup bowls and I can make out the marks enough to date them to Dec 12 1872. They also have the Minton date mark of the circle with the x through it that also is 1872. I assume that the tureen is from about the same time.
The tureen has no chips or cracks but has significant discoloration inside. I understand there is a way to remove this with professional strength peroxide and heat but I have not tried this. The outer blue trim is cold painted and needs to be touched up. I can do this if you like.
The tureen is 14" long and 12 1/2" across. It is 4 7/8" tall. The liner is 15" long and 11 1/2" wide.
The pattern number is either c2673 or 62673.
