- 5-1/2" H x 4-3/8" wide at the top.
- Blown and wheel-engraved colorless glass.
- Plain rim, tapered sides, pontil mark on the bottom. Pattern molded sides.
- Engraving starts at the top lip and encircles the glass around the top portion.
- Vesica pattern to the engraving, cross hatching & floral motif.
- No chips or cracks. Small air bubbles and a couple naturally occurring inclusions.
- Time period produced: 1765-1774. There is a duplicate of this piece at the Philadelphia Art Museum where is noted as Likely Stiegel (Flip type 1 pattern). We are in the same Pennsylvania County as the Stiegel Factory Location (That is located in Manheim Penna. where it operated until closure in 1774) and this piece comes from a local estate, further solidifying the probability of it being Stiegel produced glass. Only 1 known piece of Stiegel has ever been verified 100% as Stiegel Glass as he did not sign his work.
