“ Thank you for the other photos here. I see the cord is from the 1950s which means nothing. The cords would have been updated to safely use. The lamp over all is just exquisite. It appears to be done in the Rococo style. Curves and romance bring an overall feeling of romanticism in the room. It is characterized by lightness, elegance, and an exuberant use of curving natural forms in ornamentation.
Its romantic style, features pink and gold with painted figures. The age of this is 1902-1910 period. I can tell this by the marking on the bottom. This mark was used 1902 until the 1910s era. The lamp is hand painted and accented with liquid gold. The bulb is from the 1920-1930s era. They don't use or make these bulbs today. The value of this lamp is $185-225.00....insurance value is $285.00
The Erdmann schlegelmilch Porcelain Factory was established in Suhl, Thuringia, Germany by Leonard Schlegelmilch and his two brothers. The factory was founded in 1861 and named by brothers in honor of their father, Erdmann. Leonard died in 1899. The business was overtaken by his son Julius Martin. It gradually grew till the beginning of the WWI. The factory continued production till the Great Depression. There were some efforts to return to the market but finally in 1937 the factory was closed. ”
