What a cruise! This postcard is from a set from the 1930 World Cruise on the SS Resolute Hamburg-American Line. the back is pretty cool, it talks about what the passengers did that day when they went sight seeing at each port.
This one is from a visit to Batvia, now Jakarta in the East Indies / Indonesia. The postcard features workers producing the beautiful fabric known as Batik. The back of the card mentions seeing a bit of Holland against a background of luxuriant tropical beauty. Great postcard for Indonesia collectors, or for Ship/Hamburg American Line collectors.
