The Proof and Negative Proof bothmeasures 10 1/2\" in width, 10 1/2\" in height and are inExcellentCondition. Note: These are the Final Design Proof and Negative Proof of the Reverse Design of the very first Krewe of Comus doubloon which was issued in 1967 as designed by H. Alvin Sharpe.Below the Comus Crown are the words \"CROWN OF COMUS,\" which originally were \"COMUS CROWN.\" The Three Feathers in the design underwent change before final acceptance, as they appear in these Proofs. The Ribbons to the left and right of the Crown which read \"MARDI GRAS\" and \"NEW ORLEANS\" remained unchanged since originally designed. The last two photos of this listing are of the obverse and reverse of a 1967 Comus Gold Aluminum doubloon which are included for comparison purposes only.
