For your consideration, we are offering for sale this 1999 Montblanc Meisterstuck 145 75th Anniversary Special Edition Fountain Pen. This fountain pen has never been inked, is considered New Old Stock, and is in Mint Condition.
The Montblanc Special Edition was only produced in 1999 to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Meisterstuck line of pens, Montblanc produced the 75th Special Anniversary Edition line and this pen is the Classique (145) with the Diamond set into the upper cap trim with the precious black resin cap and barrel.
The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no dings, denting, nicks, scratches, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The trim is perfect with no scratches or wear - there is some patina from the years of laying in the box. This fountain pen measures 5 1/2" inches in length capped and 6 1/8" inches posted.
The cap trim has gold trim which displays most beautifully. The cap ring displays the serial number XP1036277 and is stamped on the clip edge along with Germany. The cap banding is stamped with, "MONTBLANC MEISTERSTUCK". The clip band is wider than the normal Meisterstuck pen and has the words "75 YEARS OF PASSION" engraved. There is a Diamond solitaire in the place of the O of the PASSION just above the top of the clip.
The 18K/750 medium nib is stamped: "75 Years Meisterstuck, Montblanc 750 18K". The 18K is designated as a MEDIUM and the point measures .72mm when using digital calipers. The fountain pen has never seen ink and I wanted to keep it this way for the next collector/user.
This Montblanc Fountain Pen uses an ink converter. The converter appears to have never been ink and functions as it was designed to in my tests with water.
This Montblanc comes with a genuine Montblanc Box that is in excellent condition with no ink staining.
