In 1976 in order to celebrate the bicentennial of the USA, 7UP ran a promotion called United We Stand. Customers could collect the pull-top steel cans with each can representing a different state.My mom had a lot of fun collecting these cans during the promotion. Finally, the promotion was coming to an end but she was still missing South Dakota. She wrote 7UP and asked if they would be willing to send her the final can. They obliged and not only sent her the final South Dakota can, but they also sent her this rare and eye-catching Uncle Sam poster.
