I am offering for sale this Awesome STANLEY BED ROCK NO. 604 SMOOTH PLANE Type 5, Ca 1911 Inv#JM20 This is one of the MOST DESIRABLE Stanley NO. 604 BED ROCK SMOOTH PLANE Type 5, Ca 1911 USA in good USED condition. It has two patent dates Apr 02.95 & Apr 19.10 behind frog. The cutter has a "Stanley" Sweetheart notched logo. The plane's original black japanning is in 100% fine condition. The knob & tote are in perfect condition, no cracks, splits or repairs. The name Stanley is horizontal on lateral adjustment lever. The plane measures 9-1/2" L x 2-3/8" W. The cheeks & sole have typical scars, pitting & scuffs. Cutter has cleaned up nicely with a lot of life left. I always suggest sharpening to get it back to an optimal cutting edge.
