Very unusual trinket box, hand painted with hand decorated lid.Made in Japan by Thames, has original label on base.Box is about 4 1/2\" x 3 3/4\" and 2 1/2\" high.Box has wonderful colors, lime green, yellow, purple and pink with gold trim and painted gold accents - but the lid is the star! Has a relief style leaf, with holes for the eyes and mouth and an added lady bug.
