Aztek Mexican Warrior Carrying Princess Zodiak Ceramic Art Handmade & Painted For Sale

This is a UNIQUE hand-made piece of art. I watched an older gentleman in Mexico, quite an Artisan, making and painting these in a small out-of-the way town in Mexico. Most were being done in Black and White. This was the only one he had completed in color. I bought it from him directly. It is absolutely phenomenal in detail and the colors are vibrant. It is HEAVY and is 15 inches in diameter. It is centered with the famous folktale of the Aztec Warrior, Popoca carrying Izta, his Princess after she died. It is an Aztec Romeo/Juliet story. The center is surrounded with the Aztec Mexican Zodiak Calendar. The colors in this piece are red, gold, cream and black with metallic gold in the trim.
