The Brooklin Collection encapsulates the history of the American automobile from 1950 and the heady days after World War II to the beginning of the 1970s and the invasion of smaller imports from abroad. This was a time when bigger meant better, when the V8 ruled and chrome was king.
Designed by Bill Mitchell, Cadillac’s last V16 was destined to be produced for just two years, despite the power unit being an all-new design. The owners’ list reads like a Hollywood Hall of Fame along with heads of State and The Vatican. With a 141 inch wheelbase, a 431 cu inch engine and bespoke bodywork this was a true super-car of its time.
This is a substantial, heavy model that has been beautifully hand-crafted by Master Model Builders, Brooklin Models of Bath.
Featuring a wealth of detail, including separate plated bumpers, door handles, windscreen wipers, headlights, grille, bonnet trim & ornament and wheels. The interior and fascia are also highly detailed.The whitewall tyres are rubber.
The Evening Orchid paintwork is beautifully applied and finished to a superb standard.
