CHRISTINE BALDWIN LT ED LOST WAX BRONZE FIGURINE OF A BLOODHOUND DOG #5 OF 50 For Sale

Christine Baldwin is an American artist specializing in fine quality lost wax bronzes of dogs. This is the Baldwin bronze Bloodhound dog, shown in a reclining pose. It is signed Baldwin, and marked number 5 in a limited edition of 50 pieces. This is a nice low number in this small edition. The Bloodhound exhibits the outstanding modeling and detail that one would expect from this artist. Charmingly, the dog\'s lip flews and ears are spread out over a large area as the dog rests. Chris uses the lost wax method to produce her bronze dog sculptures. This is genuine bronze, NOT cold cast bronze. The piece is heavy and of lovely quality. Chris had this mounted on a darkish green marble base with white striations. Overall size is 3\" tall by 9 1/2\" long. This is a delightful piece to add to the serious Bloodhound collection. It has been kept behind glass in a display cabinet since I purchased it.No chips, cracks, repairs or restorations.
