Purchased: 2022 Apr

Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CK4)

History: Purchased in April 2022 from a dealer in the Inchiri region of Mauritania by an Algerian team represented by David Lehman.

Petrography: (A. Irving,UWSand J. Boesenberg,BrownU) Separated well-formed, equilibrated, glass-free chondrules containing Cr-magnetite are set in a medium-grained matrix containing stained Cr-magnetite, intermediate plagioclase and chlorapatite plus very minor kamacite and pentlandite.

Geochemistry: Olivine (Fa32.3±0.2, range Fa32.0-32.7, N = 6), low-Ca pyroxene (Fs27.0±0.5Wo0.7±0.1, range Fs26.2-27.7Wo0.6-0.8, N = 6), augite (Fs10.0±0.4Wo46.7±1.3, range Fs8.3-11.5Wo44.8-47.8, N = 5), plagioclase (An32.0-39.4Or2.9-4.7, N = 4), magnetite (Cr2O34.2-5.2 wt.%, N =7).

Classification: Carbonaceous chondrite (CK4).

Specimens: 20.3 g including one polished thin section atUWB; remainder with Mr. D. Lehman.
