CORDON BLEU ~ Early Hammered Copper Oval COVERED CASSEROLE w/Tin Lining (3 Qt) ~ France
Description of item...Here we have a wonderful early model vintage qualitycopper oval COVERED CASSEROLE with a hammered finish, bronze handles and tin lining, made by CORDON BLEU (BIA) of France. On one side of the pot it is marked, "MADE IN FRANCE ~ 24" and "CORDON BLEU ~ BIA ~ FRANCE" and on the lid top, "MADE IN FRANCE ~ 24" and "L.LECELLIER ~ MODELE DÉPOSE ~ VILLEDIEU." It measures approx. 9-3/4" long (add 1-1/4" for each side handle grip) x 7-1/4" wide x 3-7/8" side high x 5-3/4" in total height with the lid, can hold up to 3 liquid quarts.It is in good maintained (used) condition with no dings or dents. It has not been cleaned or polished since acquired and is being offered in "as found" condition currently showing a naturally aged copper patina/tarnishing from throughout the years. Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown, circa 1960's. This item weighs approx. 3-3/4 lbs., add 2-1/4 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased.
