🇨🇦 Canadian World War 2 General Civilian Respirator C-1 from October 15th 1942. Direct clone of the British World War 2 C-1 General Civilian Respirators but this mask, yet this clone uses a tan rubberized fabric.
Unfortunately, the box to this mask is ripped in many places, this mask was issued to civilians in Canada in English and French, this was issued in French due to the growing numbers of French Speaking individuals in Canada at the time.
The facepiece itself was produced in November of 1942 and is a size small, the manual for these masks seem to all be dated October 15th 1942, this has been the date on all five Canadian C-1s I have owned.
The small piece of oval-shaped paper seems to be a lens protector, which would have likely kept the single eyepiece from cracking or being scratched.
