This is a seriously mega rare book. This is not the regular one you see online for sale. This has a slip case that looks like the aluminum dashboard of one of these cars + a metal plaque with a number # J352. The book itself is Leather or faux Leather binding. Comes with a cloth marker attached inside.There is no information on this edition online. Nothing. Zip. Making this Hens Teeth / Four Leaf Clover material. Only one ?Beautiful book. Very little wear to outer silver slipcase. The Duesenberg straight-8 engine was produced from 1921 to 1937 and sold in Duesenberg automobiles. Fred and August Duesenberg got their start building experimental racing engines which achieved a great deal of success. Among their accomplishments are wins at the Indianapolis 500, the 1921 French Grand Prix and speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats. They used the expertise they had gained to start building production engines and cars which were renowned for their performance and luxury.
Dennis Adler is the editor in chief of Car Collector magazine and consultant/historian/author for four publishers and organizations, including senior contributing editor of The Star -- the official publication of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America. He serves on the Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance Selection Committee and as a chief class judge at the Meadow Brook and Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. He is a noted portraitist of automotive collectors and their collections and is the author of twenty automotive books, including The Art of the Sports Car and The Art of the Automobile.
