The First through Eight edition of their botanical series called JEWELS OF THE FLOWERS. Done in the technique of watercolor painting on silk in the original artwork that inspired these plates. The artist Tan Chun Chiu lends astonishing delicacy and luminosity to the muted tones. Painting wet on dry let’s the shapes and colors appear unusually fluid and spontaneous while precise, setting a tranquil mood.
Back stamped and numbered in a limited 150 days of firing, exacting a standard of excellence by Edwin M. Knowles since 1834 and made in the USA. Offered through the Bradford Exchange circa 1990’s
