Indianaware Iridescent Grape & Grape Leaf Pattern Carnival Glass Biscuit Jar:
$25.00

This beautiful Indiana Glass biscuit jar features an iridescent grape and grape leaf pattern that will add an elegant touch to any collection. Made of high-quality carnival glass, this jar stands at 7 1/2 inches tall with a length and width of 7 1/2 inches and 4 1/2 inches respectively. The jar was produced using a fused glass technique, showcasing the intricate details of the pattern. This jar is perfect for storing your favorite snacks or as a decorative piece for your kitchen. It is in great shape and has been well-maintained, ready to be enjoyed by its new owner. Get your hands on this stunning piece of Indiana ware and add a touch of vintage charm to your home.
The jar is octagonal and each of the eight sides shows a panel on the outside of the jar making eight panels around the jar showing a cluster of grapes for a lifting knob on top, the lid shows two clusters of grapes their leaves and vines, and each of the eight panels displays clusters of grapes, grape leaves, and their vines as well. The beautiful iridescence in this type of glassware is achieved by adding metal oxides into the molten glass when firing it in a kiln at high temperatures giving it its luster and colors of the rainbow in it making it a one-of-a-kind piece of carnival art glass you only dreamed of owning.
The biscuit jar measures 7 1/2\" tall X 4\" in diameter across the opening at the top X 4 3/4\" in diameter across the bottom and it is in very good condition with the exception of a splinter in the glass on the bottom of the jar and when you look at this splinter it looks like it is in between to pieces of glass and when I ran my finger nail across it I couldn\'t scratch the crack and it doesn\'t leak when filled with water either. So, if you can live with this anomaly then your purchasing a marvelous piece of glassware with a history behind it as Indiana ware began in the 1880\'s up until 2002 a century old and decades long trail of timeless beauty in glassmaking that is unparalleled by any other glassmaker in the world.
