Antique Lalique Bagatelle Frosted Sparrow Love Birds in Foliage Older 40\'s.
Very early modele\' early 40\'s maybe even 38, in perfect condition, the frosted crystal seems better than the newer ones,no box but loved and cared for, perfect except for a few scuffs\'on bottom, early signature when Renéwas still alive.
Slight pink to grey look is indicative of older lead based crystal, no health problems,but most makers started using Moser\'s lead-free formula by the late 40\'s. (Which is how you can see this is an older 1!)No chips, cracks, damage, repairs in a hall cabinet with 30+ other Laliques for last 40+ years, estate sale in NYC 70\'s.
Gorgeous under soft white bulb cabinet, measures 6.75 inches tall, 6 inches deep (never had any water, thing in it!) 4.25 top/rim polished flat, 5 Inches at widest body with an out then in taper towards bottom, barrel shaped, heavily engraved heavily frosted crystal, flat polished base w/signature, france, etc...base is 95% very few scuffs. Lost original box, or can\'t find right now.
Beautiful Art Glass, time for it to have a new home.
