Here\'s anExtremely Rare and Unique \"Zodiac\" Design ORIGINAL SKETCH in Blue Ink by H. Alvin Sharpe.The Sketchmeasures 16 1/2\" in width and 12 1/2\" height and is inExcellentCondition.Payment due within 48 hours of purchase.Note: This is the Original Sketch for a Zodiac Design Created by H. Alvin Sharpe, the Creator of the Mardi Gras Doubloon. The Zodiac Design was created by Mr. Sharpe for Several Doubloons and Medallions issued by Various Mardi Gras Krewes, Carnival Clubs and for St. Patrick\'s Day Parade and Advertising Doubloons/Medallions as well (See Photos 8 and 9---The doubloon in Photo 8 and the St. Patrick\'s Negative Proof in Photo 9 are NOT INCLUDED in this sale and are for illustration purposes only). The Sketch does contain Mr. Sharpe\'s familiar \"HAS\" initials with a Copyright Symbol above them (which can also be seen in the Negative Proof in Photo 9). This Design does not yet appear be complete, as he would likely have added other design elements and/or writing in the center for the specific group the design was being made for. The Sketch was made with Blue Ink on Artist\'s Paper similar to parchment, which has aged and colored over the years.Some time long ago, this Sketch was folded in half and then folded in half again causing the crease lines very noticeable in the photos. However, any good mounting and framing person can press out those creases before matting and framing this piece.Mr. Sharpe\'s Original Designs are extremely rare to find today. Mr. Sharpe kept many of the Artist Proofs, Sketches and Other Design Items he made over the years and gave a number of them to his last secretary. She ultimately sold them to a coin dealer in New Orleans from whom I acquired them a few years ago. I have far too many to keep, though I love them all, and now want to share them with other H. Alvin Sharpe Fans, Enthusiasts and Collectors, as well. Great Piece for Matting and Framing and aGreat Piece of H.
