I make the (padded) prayer kneeler's or (padded)prayer altars for people to pray in small places in their home or meditate intheir private place.
The prayer altars kneelers serve as a great way for people to pray inprivacy at home, the prayer kneelers or meditation altars are made by hand in mysmall shop in Raleigh NC, the product has some natural imperfections from the wood,but it gives the personal prayer kneeler great character.
I use regular carpentry tools, not commercial factory leveltools. These padded prayer benches, are made right here in the USA, one at atime in Raleigh NC and are very comfortable and durable. Although they are farfrom perfect, a lot of time and thought went into making these prayer altars foryou and the prayer kneelers makes a great gift for a prayer warrior as well.
I use the best possible materials I can afford; so far I?vehad very few returned. The prayer stool or prayer station doesn?t fold and thiswas done on purpose; so it doesn?t end up in a closet somewhere (smile). It?s29 inches from the ground and about 20 inches wide, the prayer altar is builtto fit nicely in smaller places or in the corner of a room in a house,apartment, bedroom or office, and it weighs about 22 pounds, strong enough tosupport a person over 250 pds and a height of up to 6ft.
It?s well constructed with nails, screws, and staples, andindustrial strength glue?s, it?s not coming apart, it?s painted with a waterbase paint, in some areas you may see slight blemishes in the paint because ofthe wood, the inch and a half thick firm padding and batting (covering thatgoes over the foam before the material) in the arm rest and kneeling pad isfirm but soft high density padding and cotton, and the covering of both the armrest and kneeling pad is a item is a synthetic material similar to a realleather, and the one with print is made of cotton.
I like creating creative ways for people to pray at home, nomatter what their faith, denomination, or belief. I?ve sold a lot of them topeople and many have said they use the prayer kneelers and conduct intercessoryprayer for others, (praying to help others with their problems and situations).I?ve received a lot of pictures of cool places that people have placed theprayer kneelers in their homes, this makes me so happy.
My prayer is that you?ll be happy with this one of a kindproduct and it serves the purpose of allowing you to comfortably pray at home.They make a great gift for a person who likes to pray or meditate a lot on theirhands and knees. It?s my belief and others that we should spend time in prayeras often as possible, hopefully having the prayer altar in your home willremind us to remember and use it daily.
I understand that praying on our hands and knees is apersonal form or expression of spiritual meditation and isn?t required, I?vepersonally been through so much in my life and prayer is the only thing that?sgot me through, I pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide my mind andhands to make a good product; although I?m not a professional carpenter.
